Cheyenne Frontier Days Results

Sunday August 1, 2004
The results are in from the richest, regular season rodeo and the Daddy of 'em All. Cheyenne is one rodeo you have to see to believe. You can see more rodeo action in one day than you can at most other multi-day rodeos.

In the bareback riding, Cimmaron Gerke took the tour round with a 90-point ride on Vold Rodeo's Pine Cone.

The saddle bronc riding saw a record breaking 90-point ride from Ryan Mapston onboard Burch's Yellow Hair. He shattered the previous record, an 88-point ride set by Glen O'Neill last year.

An 11.3 second run by Mike Johnson took the round in the tie-down roping and the team roping was split between two teams, Tee Woolman / Patrick Smith and Frank Graves / Brad Culpepper.

In the steer wrestling, Tyler Haugen blazed to a win with a time of 7.3 seconds.

Paula Seay won the barrel racing tour round and the aggregate title at Cheyenne. She leads the tour standings.

And finally in the bull riding, Cory Melton covered his bull with a 93-point ride, the highest in the rodeo.
