PBR's Global Domination
Wednesday November 23, 2005
In an uncanny move, the Professional Bull Riders have expanded their operations internationally to capitalize on the popularity of bull riding in Mexico, Canada, Australia, and Brazil.
PBR-Mexico will open an office in Chihuahua, Mexico which will organize PBR activities throughout the country. Chihuahua will also host a BFTS event next year in August.
International directors will manage business in the other countries where the PBR is building interest.
The PBR-International Directors are:
Australia- Troy Dunn (1998 World Champion)
Brazil- Flavio Junquiera
Canada- Austin Beasley
Mexico- Jose Longoria
See the Full Story from the PBR Website.
My Two Cents:
This shoulda been done sooner, like a few years ago, but better late than never. The PRCA should take some serious note as to what the PBR is doing here. Expanding the fanbase is something that needs to be done as rodeo and bull riding moves into the 21st century.
