After a six-year hiatus, the Redding (Calif.) Rodeo returns to the Wrangler ProRodeo Tour, serving as the last chance for cowboys to earn Tour points until the Reno Rodeo kicks off the summer run on June 20.
Action in Redding, located in northern California about 215 miles north of San Francisco, starts May 15. The three-performance rodeo, which was among the cities on the 2000 summer Wrangler Tour and 2001 winter Wrangler Tour, concludes on May 17. The rodeo starts at 7:15 p.m. PT each day. Growney Brothers Rodeo Company, led by 2000 PRCA Stock Contractor of the Year John Growney, is bringing its best to Redding, which includes some of the toughest bulls in the PRCA. Additional livestock is being provided by California companies Four Star Rodeo Company and Western Rodeos.
