Who are the Rodeos of the Year?

The PRCA Year-End Award nominees have been announced and the Rodeo of the Year section is a collection of some of the best events in the PRCA. There are 4 categories in the Rodeo of the Year portion of the awards, they are, Small Outdoor Rodeo, Medium Rodeo, Large Outdoor and Large Indoor Rodeo of the Year. Who do you think will win?

The nominees in each category are:

Small Outdoor Rodeo of the Year

• Cowboy Capital Rodeo in Bandera, Texas
• Bay City Rodeo in Texas
• Crystal Springs Ranch Rodeo in Clear Lake, S.D.
• Rooftop Rodeo in Estes Park, Colo.
• Goliad Rodeo in Texas

Medium Rodeo of the Year

• West Texas Fair & Rodeo in Abilene
• Kitsap County Stampede in Bremerton, Wash.
• Deadwood Days of '76 in South Dakota
• Huntsville Rodeo in Texas
• Ogden Pioneer Days Rodeo in Utah

Large Outdoor Rodeo of the Year

• Cheyenne Frontier Days in Wyoming
• Pendleton Round Up in Oregon
• Reno Rodeo in Nevada
• California Rodeo in Salinas, CA.
• Rodeo of the Ozarks in Springdale, Ark.

Large Indoor Rodeo of the Year

• National Western in Colorado
• Fort Worth Rodeo in Texas
• Rodeo Houston in Texas
• Dixie National Rodeo in Jackson, Miss.
• San Antonio Rodeo in Texas

The winners for all categories will be announced at the awards ceremony on December 3rd at the South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa. Those of you in the PRCA that are qualified to vote must have your ballots turned in by October 15th. The rest will of us will hold an unofficial vote here in the comments section of this blog.
