As the Thanksgiving turkey hangover fades, the thoughts of die-hard rodeo fans turn toward the National Finals Rodeo. The Super Bowl of Rodeo invades Las Vegas in less than two weeks, and timed event and rough stock competitors alike will battle to the final second to be crowed World Champion. Those lucky enough to make it to Sin City for this festival of all things rodeo will get to see the sights, sounds and smells in person; those without such luck can watch each nightly round in the comfort of their own homes. Young rodeo fans can watch their idols reach for the stars, enjoying each run, buck and spin. As the 2012 season comes to a close and you prepare for upcoming spring rodeos, take a moment to be thankful for blessings and good luck into 2013.
