National Western Stock Show

If you're a rodeo enthusiast in the Denver area, the National Western Stock Show is a must-see event. This event is a grand spectacle, with dozens of events and thousands of competitors descending on the Mile High city for nearly two jam-packed weeks. The fairgrounds plats host to more than 15,000 head of cattle, horses, sheep and other livestock, and there are a plethora of events for rodeo fans to enjoy. Shoppers can browse the more than 350 vendors spread throughout the Stock Show complex, and there is always plenty of tasty fair food to satisfy any appetite. The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association hosts a number of rodeos during the duration of the Stock Show, and competitors both young and old test their skills in both the matinee and evening performances. The National Western Stock Show is also one of the oldest in the county, and is celebrating its 107^th year, and promises to bring in well over 500,000 visitors. The 2013 National Western Stock Show runs from January 12 - January 27, 2013.
