PBR Anaheim Invitational Recap and Results
Sunday February 22, 2009
The PBR invaded Southern California this weekend for the Anaheim Invitational. It was one crazy weekend with the big names bucking off in Round 1 and only 17 qualified rides posted on the board. The bulls were on top and showed who the real stars of the night were. At the end of the weekend after all the bulls rolled out, the bumps and bruises delivered, Colorado cowboy Kody Lostroh claimed the title of California Kid as the winner of the event.
A Horrible Day at the Office
Saturday February 21, 2009
The top riders of the PBR only made 17 qualified rides in Round 1 of the Anaheim Invitational yesterday. That's less than half of the entered field (39 bull riders) and makes this round the second worst opening round at a Built Ford Tough Series event (the worst Round 1 had only 16 rides). Read more...

Ty Murray and Jewel to Appear on Dancing with the Stars
Sunday February 8, 2009
A bit of shocking news (if only because I never thought I'd ever see the day) was announced today that Ty Murray and his wife Jewel will be competing on this season of ABC's Dancing with the Stars. I think it's a good move to expose our rodeo stars to shows as popular as this. Read more...
Marchi doesn't ride Bones - JB Mauney wins Event
Monday February 2, 2009
The Clash of Champions turned out to be just as I predicted - Marchi hitting the dust after about three jumps. The real excitement turned out when JB Mauney wanted to pick Bones in the short go but Tom Teague, the owner of the bull, decided to pull him from competition. Mauney went on to win the event in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. A date has been set for the matchup between Mauney and Bones, so watch for the new battle on St. Valentine's Day (Feb. 14) at the Oklahoma City event.
