Awesome New Deal for Xtreme Bulls!
Monday December 12, 2005
The PRCA has announced a new deal for the Xtreme Bulls Series in 2006. Even after $1 million in losses to the association, next year the tour will be called the 2006 Xtreme Bulls Ride Hard Tour and hit 10-cities across the U.S.
Winnercomm, the largest independent sports production company, will take franchise ownership and revamp the whole operation, from television coverage to marketing.
I think it's a good idea for the PRCA to take the tour into a sort of PBR mode. I was shocked to see that the Xtreme Bulls tour lost so much money, while the PBR seems to be making exceptional growth.
We definitely need new marketing efforts for rodeo to bring in new fans. Let's give rodeo the attention it deserves. How about this idea though...some bronc and bull wars as specialty events?
