Bob Feist Invitational at the Reno Rodeo
Wednesday June 21, 2006
We have the winners and with over a cool half-million in on the line it's always tough competition at this featured event. It would be Brandon Thone and Chad Harper who would claim their first victory. The two Arkansas cowboys were relative unknowns and have always dreamed of winning this event and now they have.
The Bob Feist Invitational Team Roping Classic more affectionately as the BFI was started by Ropers Sports News publisher Bob Feist in 1977. Since then the BFI has become the ultimate team roping competition. It is a contest put on by ropers for ropers and an event not to be missed.

We took my 70 year old father to the BFI this year. He has the video from many of the previous years. When he returned home he called all his roping buddies and all he could say is: The BFI is 100 times better in person than watching on TV. Also, he was excited about the guys that won as he has watch Chad improve in his roping abilities the past 7 years……….I think he already has his bags packed for next year……………Truly an unbelievable roping!! We will be repeat attendees.
I agree…it is one awesome event in person!
