We will also discuss the animal rights movement in detail and its negative effects on rodeo. There is plenty of blatant misinformation out there about rodeo, and this page will be dedicated to clearing it up. We will also seriously look at the issue of caring for and raising livestock.

The Rodeo Guide responds to a person claiming to be Steve Hindi, president of SHARK (SHowing Animals Respect and Kindness). In 2003 the PRCA was awarded the Lavin Cup which is given by the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) for contributions to the health and welfare of the horse. 2004 out of 60,971 exposures at 62 rodeos there were 27 injuries. That’s an injury rate of .0004.

PeTA Wont Help Starving Colorado Cattle

Cloverdale Rodeo in Canada Bans Timed Events!
The Cloverdale Rodeo, Canada's fifth-largest rodeo and event stop on the Canadian ProRodeo Tour has decided to drop steer wrestling, tie-down roping, team roping and wild cow milking from its future performances. The announcement came one day after animals rights activists stormed the arena and had to be removed.
