Definition: Rodeo Cowboy or Cowgirl is a person who earns money competing in rodeo events. As differentiated from a regular cowboy who earns money from raising livestock, although many rodeo cowboys do both.

Rodeo Cowboy is a generalized term for all rodeo competitors. It can be broken down into more specific names among rodeo folk, such as bull rider, roper, barrel racer, etc.
