Buffalo Bill is perhaps the most important figure in the early history of rodeo. Taking the what he saw in the west and on ranches, then putting it into his "Wild West Show", he created the direct link to the Professional Rodeo we enjoy today. Check out this museum dedicated to him in Cody, Wyoming. Oakdale Cowboy Museum
This is one of my favorites and is located in Oakdale, Ca. It offers the sights, sounds and smells of the old west. This is a great local museum that has been given a lot of care and support by the community. |
