The rodeo is over and Northern Nevada has returned to its semi-peaceful state, with only the occasional blip and whir of slot machines drifting down the Truckee. Cowboys have loaded up and gone home, at least those that don't make their living on the Nevada range. New sets of Reno championship spurs jangle on the boots of the lucky few who took home the money and glory of the 2005 Reno Rodeo.

The big winner of the week turned out to be Cody DeMoss, as he proved that he was no slouch in the saddle bronc AND the team roping, taking home a set of spinners in the bronc and all-around categories.

The other happy winners of the Reno Rodeo are:
  • All-Around: Cody DeMoss (for bronc and team roping money)
  • Bareback: Royce Ford and Davey Shields both scored 247 on three head to split.
  • Steer Wrestling: Todd Suhn added another Nevada title to the Clark County Fair & Rodeo title he won earlier this year.
  • Team Roping: Steve Purcella and Britt Bockius pulled a repeat to win the Reno title again this year.
  • Saddle Bronc: Cody DeMoss
  • Tie-down: Monty Lewis adds another title to his 2004 World Championship.
  • Barrel Racing: Linda Vick who moved into the top 5 in her event and will qualify for her first NFR.
  • Bull Riding: Dustin Elliot edged out Matt Austin by 2-points to take home the coveted Reno Rodeo Silver Spurs.
