A sold-out crowd greeted the PBR's finest on their trip to Hawaiian Islands which has a rich historical connection to cowboy culture. This event along with the Myron Duarte Maui Challenge marked the first time the PBR visited the 50th state.

The ride of the weekend has to go to Chris Shivers on Chili in Round 1. The 91-point ride went excellent but then as so often happens, the dismount proved disastrous. Shivers went down to his knees and Chili planted a hoof on his left leg. The replay of it was horrendous; there is something really disturbing seeing a leg bend in a direction it was never meant to bend. Shivers broke both bones in his left leg and his ankle. He is expected to be out for several months.

Another notable ride was J.B. Mauney's 91 pointer on Bull of the Year contender Pandora's Box in Round 4.

Guilherme Marchi sat out the last round when Born to Boogie took a step on him (the bull riders were being treated like carpet at this event) and bruised his right calf.

The event however, belonged to Ross Coleman who photo finished by beating good friend Luke Snyder by 1-point after Snyder covered his regular draw and a re-ride bull. Both men covered all 4 bulls.

Coleman had this to say after the ever, "I love that guy [Snyder]. He's like a brother to me. I can't believe I beat him by a point. But, that's just how it goes sometimes." (Quote Courtesy PBR)

And that my friends, is what make cowboys the greatest sportsmen and athletes on the planet. Everything else is really JUST a game.
