What is the Built Ford Tough Series of the PBR?

From Ralph Clark, for About.com

Question: What is the Built Ford Tough Series of the PBR?
Answer:

The Built Ford Tough Series or BFTS is one of four tour levels offered by the Professional Bull Riders. The 30-stop tour is the premier level of competition in the PBR and the top 45 bull riders compete for the major cash and accolades that the BFTS has to offer.

The Built Ford Tough Series of events are televised and each stop on the tour brings the best bull riding and the best bulls that the PBR has to offer.

A unique feature of the Built Ford Tough Series are the cut and call up that occurs after every fifth event on the schedule. The bottom riders (in point standings) are cut from the tour and replaced by the top 5 riders in the U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company Challenger Tour (the next-level tour) which would be the equivalent to the minor leagues in baseball. This keeps the pressure on the bottom riders as their place on the BFTS tour is not guaranteed.
