In 2009 the PRCA's ProRodeo Tour will take on a new look and feel and will be called the Million Dollar Tour. It will be divided into 2 different levels, Gold and Silver, based on how much money there is available to your favorite cowboy or cowgirl to win at that particular rodeo.
What remains the same however, is that the tour is an innovative showcase (originally developed in 2000) of the sport's top competitors and rodeos. Only seventeen events are listed on the tour for this year.
At the conclusion of the Million Dollar Tour, 2 Playoff Rodeos (formerly known as Tour Championships) will follow.

- February 5 (on the Silver Tour) Black Hills Stock Show and Rodeo in Rapid City, SD.
- February 6 (on the Gold Tour) San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo in San Antonio, TX.
- March 16 (on the Gold Tour) Rodeo Austin in Austin, TX.
- May 14 (on the Silver Tour) Redding Rodeo in Redding, CA.
- June 19 (on the Gold Tour) Reno Rodeo in Reno, NV.
- June 29 (on the Silver Tour) World's Oldest Rodeo in Prescott, AZ.
- July 1 (on the Gold Tour) Cody Stampede in Cody, WY.
- July 3 (on the Gold Tour) St. Paul Rodeo in St. Paul, OR.
- July 8 (on the Silver Tour) Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo in Colorado Springs, CO.
- July 16 (on the Gold Tour) The California Rodeo in Salinas, CA.
- July 18 (on the Gold Tour) Cheyenne Frontier Days in Cheyenne, WY.
- July 29 (on the Silver Tour) Dodge City Round-Up in Dodge City, KS.
- August 5 (on the Silver Tour) Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo in Sikeston, MO.
- August 5 (on the Silver Tour) Lovington Rodeo in Lovington, NM.
- August 12 (on the Silver Tour) Farm City Pro Rodeo in Hermiston, OR.
- August 26 (on the Silver Tour) Kitsap Stampede in Bremerton, WA.
- September 4 (on the Gold Tour) Ellensburg Rodeo in Ellensburg, WA.
The Tour concludes with the ProRodeo Playoffs, a 2-rodeo series that determines the tour champions.
