The Wrangler ProRodeo Tour was started in 2000 as a showcase for the top competitors and rodeos in the PRCA. The tour is divided into 2 sections, the Winter Series and the Summer Series. Each section makes a 12-city tour with the final round of a major rodeo serving as the tour round in which cowboys and Cowgirls compete for tour points to qualify for the Winter Series championship, the Pace Chute-Out. The tour stops are televised and feature the best in rodeo from the stock, to event, to the rodeo cowboys. The 12-stops on the Wrangler ProRodeo Winter Tour are:
The Pace Chute-Out is the winter tour's finale where the 12 top contestants in points per event qualify to compete. There are regular rounds, a semifinal round and a final round. Winners of the Pace Chute-Out, along with the winners of the Summer Finale go on to compete in the Championship Finale the crowning event of the ProRodeo Tour.
