Rodeo keeps its own set of world records and statistics just like other sports. Each event has their own times and scores that stand as testaments to the skills and competitiveness of the modern cowboy and cowgirl. Here are some of them.

Highest scoring ride in bareback riding:

94 points scored by Wes Stevenson (Dallas in 2002) and also by Will Lowe (Omaha, NE. in 2003).

Fastest time(s) in the steer wrestling:

2.2 seconds posted by Oral Zumwalt in 1930 (*Note: there was no barrier at this time).
2.4 seconds posted by Jim Bynum and Todd Whatley (Marietta, OK. in 1955), Gene Melton (Pecatonia, IL. in 1976), and Carl Deaton (Tulsa, OK. in 1976).

Fastest time in team roping:

3.5 seconds posted by Blaine Linaweaver and Jory Levy (San Angelo, TX. in 2001).

Highest scoring ride in saddle bronc riding:

95 points scored by Doug Vold (Saskatchewan, Canada in 1979) and Glen O'Neill (Innisfail, Alberta in 1996).

Fastest time(s) in tie-down roping:

5.7 seconds posted by Lee Phillips in 1978 at Assiniboia, Saskatchewan (*Note: he did not leave the box).
6.3 seconds posted by Ricky Canton (Strathmore, Alberta in 2005).

Fastest time in the barrel racing:

(*Note: Arena sizes and conditions vary greatly from rodeo to rodeo so times are measured from the Wrangler NFR.)
13.52 seconds run by Brandie Halls in Round 8 of the 2006 NFR (Las Vegas).

Highest score(s) in bull riding:

100 points / Perfect Score scored by Wade Leslie (Central Point, OR. in 1991).
98 points scored by Denny Flynn (Palestine, IL. in 1979).
