What has changed on the new ProRodeo Tour?

From , former About.com Guide

Question: What has changed on the new ProRodeo Tour?
Answer: The first change is that the tour standings will now be based on money won instead of points earned. This should have very little effect on how the standings are determined so it shouldn't effect your favorite cowboy or cowgirl at all.

Another change comes in the number of rodeos considered a part of the tour. Last year's tour had 27 rodeos listed and this year's tour lists 17 with a possibility of more to come. The reduction helps to simplify the tour but it remains to be seen as to if the contestants will like this change.

The next change is that the playoff rodeos have been reduced from four to two. While this may seem like a disappointment at first, making the tour only a 2 rodeo playoff will help keep the excitement and competition fresh in spectators minds and help reduce the amount of travel and wait time that the competitors have to face before the champions are determined.
