Wrangler ProRodeo Tour

Rodeo Austin is the seventh stop the New Wrangler ProRodeo Tour, the PRCA's premier series of rodeo. This year the tour will expand to 26 rodeos and will culminate in 4 Ariat Playoff Series events at the end of the year. The San Antonio Rodeo is the first regular season rodeo to offer a whopping $1,000,000 in prize money!

2008 Rodeo Austin Average Winners:

  • All Around: Trevor Brazile
  • Bareback: Will Lowe (252 points on 3)
  • Steer Wrestling: Stockton Graves (11.6 seconds with 3 runs)
  • Team Roping: Mike Bacon / Dennis Gatz (14.7 seconds)
  • Saddle Bronc: Cody Wright (248 points on 3)
  • Tie-Down: Stran Smith (26.9 seconds in 3 runs)
  • Barrel Racing: Terra Bynum (45.33 with 3 runs)
  • Bull Riding: Dave Samsel (252 points on 3)

2008 Rodeo Austin Final Round Winners:

  • Bareback: Will Lowe - 91 points
  • Steer Wrestling: Chancey Larson - 3.3 seconds
  • Team Roping: Colter Todd / Cesar de la Cruz - 4.2 seconds
  • Saddle Bronc: Bryce Miller and Cody Wright TIE - 85 points
  • Tie-Down: Mike Johnson - 7.6 seconds
  • Barrel Racing: Jeanne Anderson - 14.88 seconds
  • Bull Riding: Brad Pierce - 93 points
