Sandhills Stock Show & Rodeo

The Sandhills Stock Show & Rodeo is the first stop on the New Wrangler ProRodeo Tour, the PRCA's premier series of rodeo. This year the tour will expand to 26 rodeos and will culminate in 4 Ariat Playoff Series events at the end of the year.

2008 Sandhills Rodeo Winners:

• All-Around Cowboy: Trevor Brazile (tie-down, steer and team roping)
• Bareback: Tie for First Joe Gunderson (on Hypnotic) and Bobby Mote (on Brother) - 86 points
• Steer Wrestling: Rope Myers (11.5 seconds on 2 head)
• Team Roping: Tie for First Riley Minor / Brady Minor and Garrett Tonozzi / Kinney Harrell (11.2 seconds on 2 head)
• Saddle Bronc: Cody Wright - 84 points on Speed Control
• Tie-Down: Mike Johnson (16.9 seconds in 2 runs)
• Steer Roping: Marty Jones (47.7 seconds on 4 head)
• Barrel Racing: Reggie Crosby (28.21 in 2 runs)
• Bull Riding: Kanin Asay - 89 points on Pretty Vegas

2008 Sandhills Rodeo Final Round Average Winners:

• Bareback: Tie for First Joe Gunderson (on Hypnotic) and Bobby Mote (on Brother) - 86 points
• Steer Wrestling: Dru Melvin - 4.9 seconds
• Team Roping: Trevor Brazile / Patrick Smith - 4.3 seconds
• Saddle Bronc: Cody Wright - 84 points on Speed Control
• Tie-Down Roping: Tie for First Mike Johnson and Boe Brown - 8.1 seconds
• Steer Roping: J.R. Olson - 10.0 seconds
• Barrel Racing: Layna Kight - 13.79 seconds
• Bull Riding: Kanin Asay - 89 points on Pretty Vegas
