Guide Review - TRY: A Novel by Lily Burana

TRY is the debut fiction novel of talented author Lily Burana. It is a true Western Romance, but not in the traditional sense. By updating the romantic themes surrounding rodeo and the West, Burana has taken the conventions of this genre and turned it on its ear. Much to her credit.

The novel is set in the beautiful countryside of Wyoming, and takes you along on a journey with a young woman, Daryl Heatherly, who is coming home for the summer to help sell her parents old ranch. While home, she meets former Rodeo World Champion, J.W. Jarrett, who has enough Southern charm and good looks to sweep any girl off her feet. But, as some of you may know, dating a rodeo cowboy (or cowgirl for that matter!) isn't easy.

What happens next is a sensual and exciting tale that is set solidly in the emerging world of what I like to call the alternative or New West. Can Daryl get past the fact that J.W. is a rodeo cowboy first and foremost? The girl has a lot of TRY in her, and she won't give up that easy!

This novel will take you on a unique journey that will warm your heart, make you laugh, cry and keep you pulling for love to the very end.
