What?: The Cowtown Rodeo is one of three weekly rodeos sanctioned by the PRCA (the others are Mesquite, TX. and Steamboat Springs ProRodeo in CO.) and is a staple of the First Frontier Rodeo Circuit. The Cowtown Rodeo brings is own brand of small town rodeo to the east and represents "Professional Rodeo In The True Tradition Of The Old West."
Who?: Some of the best cowboys in the east call the Cowtown Rodeo home. With limited chances to rodeo, you can bet that any cowboy from the First Frontier worth their salt has made their way to the Cowtown Rodeo.
The Cowtown Rodeo has been family run by the Harris clan since its beginnings and they continue the tradition to this day.
Highlights: Weekly action lets you get to know the competitors and livestock.

History: The earliest beginnings of the Cowtown Rodeo can be traced back to 1929 and one man by the name of Howard "Stoney" Harris. The rodeo then moved through different forms being passed down in the family. The rodeo even enjoyed TV time in 1957-58 and again in 1968-69, and has grown from there into what we enjoy today. Read more of Cowtown Rodeo History from their official website.
Extras: A famous Farmers Market also occupies the grounds on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
The arena has a 4000 seat capacity with box seats available to season ticket holders.
About the Cowtown Rodeo: Although some may think that New Jersey would be the last place you'd find a rodeo, you can't find a place on earth that better represents the rodeo values of family, community, and tradition. With out people like the Harris family, rodeo would not continue to be the great force of true competition that it is today. My hats off to the folks at the Cowtown Rodeo, they are true examples of what it means to be 'western.'
