The Built Ford Tough Series or BFTS is one of four tour levels offered by the Professional Bull Riders. The 33-stop tour is the premier level of competition in the PBR and the top 45 bull riders compete for the major cash and accolades that the BFTS has to offer.
The Built Ford Tough Series is televised and brings the best in bull riding anywhere.

A unique feature of the Built Ford Tough Series is the cut and call up that occurs after every fifth event on the schedule. The bottom riders (in point standings) are cut from the tour and replaced by the top 5 riders in the U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company Challenger Tour (the next-level tour) which would be the equivalent to the minor leagues in baseball. This keeps the pressure on the bottom riders as their place on the BFTS tour is not guaranteed.
