ProRodeo Playoff Series

PRCA

From Ralph Clark, for About.com

In a completely new set-up for 2007, the ProRodeo Tour of the PRCA has designated 4 rodeos to be 'playoff series' where the top 35 contestants in each event and the 'wild cards' (winners of the Dodge National Circuit Finals Rodeo) will compete for the ProRodeo Tour Championship.

After the end of each event the field will be cut down (from 35 to 22, then to 12, and lastly to the final 10) which will give the series its playoff structure.

The four stops on the ProRodeo Playoffs are:
  1. Caldwell Night Rodeo - August 14-18 (Event Results)
  2. Puyallup Pro Rodeo - September 7-9 (Event Results)
  3. River City Roundup - September 27-29 (Event Results)
  4. Texas Stampede Championship - November 9-11 (Event Results)

Fox Sports Network (FSN) and CBS will televise the series beginning August 31 and run through December. Hour-long segments will be aired weekly on FSN while CBS will carry the final round from Dallas (on November 17th).
